Pride London Shortlisted for Award @ Royal Albert Hall, London
PRIDE London are pleased to announce their shortlisting for a prestigious Visit London 2008 Award.
All shortlisted entries will stand a chance of winning an Award at a ceremony to be hosted at the Royal Albert Hall on 27th November 2008. There are up to three awards per category: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Whether successful or not, its expected to be a fantastic and spectacular evening, where guests will be taken on a journey through the energy and diversity of the world's coolest city.
Paul Birrell, Chair of Pride London said "We're delighted to be short-listed for Visit London's Awards. This year Pride London put on the UK's biggest ever Pride event, at last giving London the LGBT showcase that it deserves."

London wins World Pride in 2012 @ Central London
London has won the right to host World Pride in 2012. Led by Pride London with support from Visit London and the Mayor of London, London beat tough competition to be awarded the World Pride parade in 2012.
World Pride will be held in the capital during the summer of 2012, just ahead of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Organised by InterPride, World Pride promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues on an international level through parades, festivals and other cultural activities.
Chair of Pride London, Paul Birrell said:
“We are delighted that London was successful in its bid for World Pride. This is a great achievement for London and coming in 2012, it will be a glorious year for our city. Pride London has grown over the years to be one of the UK’s largest cultural events and this is a tremendous achievement for the LGBT community.”
