community newsRevenge announces Pride LineupTuesday, 13 July 2010 Grammy nominated DJs The Freemasons plus DJ Steve Pitron will appear at the top of the bill at the Brighton Dance Tent alongside some of the best DJ's that Brighton has to offer. Joining the headliners will be the brilliant Cass Fox performing live. Expect monumental club anthems including Rui de Silva's "Touch Me" and Faithless's mega hit "Music Matters". For The Freemasons' Russell Small and James Wiltshire, born and bred in Brighton, this is a homecoming that they are very excited about. Internationally renowned, with five top 20 UK artist singles, they are arguably the most in-demand producers in the world, having remixed the likes of Beyonce, Kylie, Kelly Rowland, Whitney Houston and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Their much celebrated anthems have been adopted by the gay dance scene as a blueprint for the perfect dance record, and the boys have rocked the worlds biggest Pride festivals, including Sydney Mardi Gras, New York Pride and London Pride. Now they are to appear for the first time in the Brighton Dance Tent at Europes biggest free Pride celebration. Multi award winner Steve Pitron is one of gay London's favourite DJs with international gigs in Paris, Ibiza, Australia and a residency at Beyond. Steve has also remixed the who's who of chart artists under the guise of Sanna and Pitron making fierce dance remixes for Therese, Florence and The Machine, Sugababes, Madcon, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland. Steve has been a regular highlight of Brighton Pride and always rocks the floor. Alongside these incredible headliners, gorgeous go-go boys and spectacular production the 5,000 capacity Dance Tent will also feature fantastic local house DJs, of which Brighton has an enviable selection. These guys create Brighton's clubbing moments all year round, and this year's line-up includes Dulcie Danger, Jon Byrne, Verity Mayes, Lee Harris, Jonesy and Richard Jones. This year the Brighton Dance Tent will operate an over-18 policy so you'll need to make sure you bring ID to enjoy the party! Elsewhere on the park every music taste is represented. The Revenge Pop Tent will feature alternative and indie from the likes of Boogaloo Stu, Fifilicious and Louise C, plus the Revenge pop allstars Smithy, Alex Baker & Stewart T. Other DJs to play on the park include Mister Barker, Phil Lovedisco, Josh The Barber, Deejay Philly, Ms Easy and King-K. More to be announced at a later date. Every single act and DJ is donating their time for free to ensure that Brighton Pride continues to be the biggest FREE Pride in Europe, so please dig deep and donate in the Pride buckets to help sustain the event for years to come. Check the Pride website for the latest exciting additions to the line-up. www.brightonpride.org
