Vintage At Goodwood is set to celebrate just that with a three day festival in August. Everything you’ve ever loved about the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s will be there as Vintage At Good combine fashion, music, art, film, design and comedy with some style. The line up is one of the most impressive we’ve seen with artists, musician, DJs, comedians, cooks and chaps (!) joining forces to ensure you have a weekend to remember. What other festival can boast a line up as diverse and wonderful as Sandi Shaw, Peter Hook, Horse Meat Disco, Heaven 17, Princess Julia, Martha And The Vandella’s, The Buzzcocks, Guilty Pleasures with Sean Rowley, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, John Shuttleworth, The Wailers, Peter Blake and (yes you heard it here first) six Fanny Craddocks! Brighton’s own Kate Wildblood is one of the many DJ’s joining Vintage at The Warehouse and Roller Disco for the weekend. “Finally a festival where the dress up is as important as the get down” said a chuffed Wildblood when asked about her involvement with Vintage. “It’s a real honour to have been asked to spin some disco at Vintage. The DJ’s playing over the weekend read likes a who’s who of the decent and I for one can’t wait to get my disco thing on with Horse Meat disco, Princess Julia and the ever lovely Jeffery Hinton.” Vintage boasts a DJ line-up most festivals would die for with Andrew Weatherall, Ashley Beedle, Danny Rampling, Graeme Park, Horse Meat Disco, Idjut Boys, Jazzie B, Joey Negro, Luke Unabomber just some of the names gracing the decks. Vintage At Goodwood looks like being one cool celebration of our fair (and funky) nation and is definitely the festival to get decked for up this summer. Only question is what are you going to wear?
