DTPM celebrated its birthday in great style at Fabric on Sunday. The venue had been decked out with birthday graphics and looked even better than usual, the music was - as you should expect from DTPM, top class and the talent... oh the talent!
The club, just in case you've never been, is something quite special. A labyrinth of rooms, leather couches, stairwells and bars means that everywhere you turn there's something new to explore. The balcony overlooking the main dancefloor helps give you some kind of scale - looking down over a sea of muscle as the eight month pregnant Melanie M took to the stage for her live PA was a site to behold! We managed to grab a couple of shots of her as she blasted out the re-vocalled version of Mary J. Blige's Be Without You
...now let me see you put your hands up!
DJs that kept the place rocking tonight included residents Lisa German, Justin Ballard and Guy Williams in the main room, along with guest DJ Ian Carey. Dancefloor two gave us the chance to get jiggy to Paul Heron, Malcolm Duffy and Nick 'Bodyrox' Bridges, along with live percussion from the brilliant Basil (I'm reliably told that he's a star!). Upstairs the Kidz Kollective did their usual, random thing ensuring that there was plenty of variety and something to please everyone. And it has to be said, everyone looked very pleased.
loved it!
