There can be few better ways to spend a Tuesday night than down at Comedy Camp in Soho.

For the uninitiated, Comedy Camp is a night of three halves... four acts, two intervals, eight cheap drinks and a guarantee of lots and lots of laughs... what more could you want from a night out?

As ever, the man behind Comedy Camp - expert compere Simon Happily set the tone of the evening and got the audience making some noise.

First to take the stage was Simon Brodkin in a character role as chavvy Lee Nelson ("My bird Amber let me shag her the first time I met her... probably because of all the ketamine I put in her sambuca"). It would have been easy for a hardcore chav to alienate a largely gay audience, but he developed a real rapport with the audience that ensured he could get away lines like, "I fell in love with a bird... how gay is that!" and have the place lapping it up.

Also up tonight was Brighton's favourite sometimes stand-up, Bill Holland who was dishing out some good advice to beat the smoking ban (with all the money you'll save not buying cigarettes you'll be able to get loads of cocaine) and entertained us with tales of webcam sex, amongst other things.

regailed us with the problems he's having with his mobile phone - ranging from his phone not stopping him from texting his ex at 2am through to the predictive texting problem of trying to get same ex boyfriend round to suck his coal.

JoJo Smith seemed happiest addressing the three straight girls in the audience with her self-effacing, very very dirty set... Lots of laugh, but for some of us the second interval was a bit of a relief after twenty minutes of hardcore minge jokes.

Last to take to the stage was the fabulous Kitty Flanagan who claims that now that she's late 30s she has to walk down dark allies looking vulnerable to get any. She gave us her Ozzy take on 'The Kingdom' (she's adamant that it's not United) whilst battling with a few slightly bizarre people in the audience - leaving us with lovely insights into our culture... The deaf, she assumes, must love late night TV...

All in all, another absolutely storming night of top entertainment downstairs at Barcode!
