It's murder on the dancefloor... but that's nothing compared to how long we had to wait for a drink at Profile - Gaydar's swish new three storey bar-cum-club in Soho. We're not entirely sure they've struck the right staff-to-punter ratio yet.

With the rain beating down mercilessly it was no surprise that the bars and clubs were packed with huddles of damp gays trying to dry out and warm up a bit. Summer? What summer?

G-A-Y was rammed with twinks and the odd twinkette - oh and us lot. Amusingly one of our party (who shall remain nameless) got asked his age at the door... amusing because it was his 33rd birthday - about double the age of the four people that breezed through security in front of him.

Sophie took us through some of her latest tunes including her forthcoming single Today the Sun's on Us , and ended on the inevitable murderous dancefloor much to the crowd's delight. We'll be genuinely sorry to see G-A-Y turning into nondescript shops, apartments and offices when Jeremy Joseph makes way for the developers...
