A night of Fiction...
review
The venue was packed with gorgeous guys and sexy ladies who had really made an effort with their attire. Everyone seemed really easy to chat to and full of good spirit! There wasn’t a single bit of attitude from anyone all night and as far as I know nobody got fed to the lions.
Physically, things have changed a little since those first days at Fiction; but this venue sports a great sound system, a balcony overlooking the main arena, a raised DJ booth and a slightly smarter paint job. Tonight the DJ’s were mixing the latest in Funky House... the musical mixture was just right and fitted the mood and the vibe of the evening.
Speakers have been placed in the entrance to pump the main dance floor action out onto Heaven’s main street. This somehow reminded me of that feeling you get when you’re queuing at Alton Towers; a mixture of excitement and fear. But, unless you include the view of the chill-out room, there's nothing to be scared of here.
The people were all smiles and bouncy hellos and the door staff and promoters alike (who seemed to have a more professional air about them than days gone by), were happy to chat with excited punters and to deal with any troublemakers calmly, politely and discreetly.
Friends say that the nights have been getting busier and busier by the week as the word spreads, and talking to Lee (promoter and manager extraordinaire) it is clear to see why. Here lies a bunch of dedicated, energetic and passionate people, with a fresh approach to giving clubbers what they want and having one helluva good knees-up in the process!
I couldn't hang around for long but suffice to say the venue was packed and the party went on well into the early hours of the morning.
