Pride 2008 : Revenge Cabaret Tent...
review
This year's Revenge Cabaret Tent was ably hosted by Lady James, Sally Vate, Miss Hap, Betty Swollocks, Cookie and Cassidy Connors - and included a line-up of local and not-so-local talent throughout the afternoon. For many of us this is our Main Stage, and for some of us this is where we sit, soaking up the atmosphere, for the entirety of the afternoon!
The afternoon was wrapped with a fabulous set from Dave Lynn (he's 50 you know!), and sewn up in style by Brighton's favourite queen of cabaret, Lola Lasagne... who told it like it is and reminded us what we're all doing standing in a slightly muddy field celebrating Pride. Fabulous.
I very much hope that a few of the acts will share their feelings about the day below...
loved it!
Overwhelming is the only word to describe it. So many great people on both sides of the stage making the whole event fantastic!
It was a privilege to be a part of it and as Lola said the audience were amazing in their response to everyone who got on the stage in order to keep them entertained.
It really did run like clockwork - or certainly felt like it did - which as Lola said is a credit to Lady James and her team.

An absolutely fabulous day! It was very strange watching at 2pm rather than hosting as normal, but Lady James & her team must be congratulated for making the Cabaret Tent, once again, a major highlight of Brighton Pride.
And thank you to all in the audience for the fabulous welcome and response! Lola_L, 7 Aug 2008 [+]
