Following a bit of a shake up and makeover, Love Muscle was back - just in time for Pride.

A host of performances included fire eating and metal grinding spots, as well as muscly dancers and the headline PA, Shena. "Who?", I hear you cry. Shena! She of such vocalist fame as on Junior Jack's Dare Me  (Stupidisco). Anyway, whether you know her or not, she was superb - and actually sang live!

Love Muscle doesn't conform to any rules or niches. Tom had asked me what sort of crowd went there and what the music was like, and I found it quite hard to explain... it truly is mixed. From younger to older and cute to muscly, the only common traits they seem to share, are their friendliness and sense of fun.

And as for the music, it's a bit all over the place... one minute we were grooving to some of the latest house, the next the floor was heaving to some classic disco riffs - not forgetting a fair few commercial/pop tunes thrown in for good measure. It may sound a little odd, but it really works. We barely left the dancefloor all night!
