The Hoist, famed as being one of Europe's largest dress code venues, was celebrating the Mr Rubber 2009 contest - with attendees all clad in rubber, leather and military uniforms.

The Hoist, in case you've never ventured down there, offers two huge arches underneath Vauxhall train station where the bar areas take you through to a maze of darkly-lit dark rooms - one with a sling - and an overhead gantry with a genuine industrial hoist.

A strict dress code applies and is enforced with nights for leather, uniform, rubber, (appropriate) denim, industrial and skinhead clobber. Boots are essential and there's no sportswear and trainers except where specifically included in the night's fetish code.

The music tonight was a sleazy, sexy blend of house and tribal - but nobody danced. Some people... er... chose to exercise their pelvis in a different way. The bar staff were cute - wearing just tight shorts or heavy leather gear. Nice!

The winner of Mr Rubber 2009 was a very sexy Essex guy called Wayne. He received the Fetish Freak sash, cash and Invincible rubberwear prizes. Ahmad, a very hot lad was the worthy runner up and Si (the blue leutenant) took the 3rd position.

It was an amazing night, packed and lots of adrenaline running through all the punters. International reputation makes The Hoist a must-visit for fetish fans.
